Welcome to my Enneagram Overview Page
The Enneagram of Personality Types

These pages are my attempt to highlight the key points of the Enneagram of Personality Types in order to present an objective and thorough overview of the system.

The Enneagram SymbolThe Enneagram of Personality Types is a system of personality typing based on the symbol of the Enneagram. This system consists of nine personality types with each type represented by one of the nine numbers of the Enneagram symbol. A person is identified primarily by one dominant type and secondarily by various subtypes, which can be subcategories of the same type or types adjacent to the dominant type. Each of the nine types can also be understood as being a part of a triad or grouping of three types with a common characteristic. The inner lines of the Enneagram symbol are sometimes used to indicate a path of movement from one type to another during periods of stress and non-stress. These points of movement are called stress and security points, or sometimes the lines of movement are referred to as the directions of integration and disintegration. In addition, various authors and teachers have made their own unique contributions to the system.
